Our reviews stay free to read. The optional plans below add deeper material, downloadable briefings and personalised itinerary support — and they are the only source of income the editorial team accepts. We do not run advertising, we do not earn affiliate commissions, and we do not sell our reader list. This is the entire revenue model.
Plan prices on this page are listed in United States Dollars for international clarity. Egyptian residents are billed in Egyptian Pounds at the published rate of the day. Invoices are issued in the currency of payment with the appropriate Egyptian Tax Authority VAT disclosure where applicable. All paid plans are billed monthly in advance, with the option to switch tiers or cancel at any time from the account dashboard.
Regardless of which tier you choose, certain things are always part of the relationship: full access to every published review across all 320+ documented sites, transparent ticket price information in Egyptian Pounds, editorial corrections published openly with dates, and the ability to write to the editorial desk with questions. Public Archive readers receive these as standard at no cost; Reader and Personalised Itinerary subscribers receive them in addition to the plan-specific benefits below.
We deliberately keep the difference between tiers narrow. The intent is not to lock essential information behind paywalls — that would compromise the public utility of the archive. The paid tiers add depth (briefing PDFs, visitor-flow forecasts, custom itineraries) rather than restricting access to the basics.
Most online travel publications in this region depend on one of three revenue streams: display advertising, affiliate commissions on ticket and hotel bookings, or commercial relationships with tour operators. Each of those streams creates an unavoidable pressure on the editorial output — favourable reviews of partners, omissions where they would be inconvenient, or a steady drift toward marketing copy in place of journalism.
We decided early on that the only way to keep the reviews honest was to make readers the customer rather than the product. The plans on this page generate the entire income of Grand Pass Cultural Tours L.L.C. There is no other layer. When you subscribe, you are paying for editorial independence as much as for the additional material.

No. Grand Pass does not sell tickets, accommodation or transport. The Personalised Itinerary plan is a desk-research product — we tell you what to book and when, but the booking itself stays with you.
Yes. Plans are billed monthly and can be cancelled from your account dashboard at any moment. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
Plan prices are listed in USD for clarity to international readers. Ticket prices inside reviews are listed in EGP with a USD reference, since the official rate at Egyptian sites is set in EGP.
Yes. Tour agencies, schools and museums can request a group plan via the contact page. We reply with a written quote — no commitment.
If a Personalised Itinerary fails to meet the agreed brief, the relevant month is refunded in full. Public Archive remains free regardless.
The Personalised Itinerary plan is the only one that requires direct interaction with the editorial team. Here is exactly how it works from first message to delivered document.
You write to the editorial desk with your dates, home airport, party size, ages, accommodation preferences, fitness level and any sites you particularly want to include or avoid. We answer within one business day with clarifying questions if needed.
Within five business days we send a complete draft itinerary: day-by-day schedule, transfer notes, recommended hotel areas in each base, current ticket prices in Egyptian Pounds, restaurant suggestions, and contingency notes for sites that may be closed during your dates.
For two weeks after delivery, you can request revisions at no additional cost. Common revisions include adjusting the pace, swapping sites for alternatives, and re-sequencing the days to match flight changes.
One week before your trip, we send an updated single-page summary with any last-minute changes (site closures, weather warnings, current convoy timings). This is part of the same monthly fee — no extra charge.
Pick the option that matches your trip and the editorial desk will take it from there. If you are unsure which plan fits — write to us with a one-line summary of what you need, and we will recommend the right tier.
