Questions about a review, requests for a Tour Plan, corrections or media inquiries — all reach the same editorial desk in Downtown Cairo. We answer within two business days for Public Archive readers, within one business day for Reader subscribers, and on the same business day for Personalised Itinerary clients during office hours.

How to Reach Us

We have deliberately kept the number of contact channels small so that nothing is missed. Whichever channel you choose, the message reaches the same editorial team in Downtown Cairo.

For non-urgent questions about a specific review — for example, whether a tomb in the Valley of the Kings was open on a particular date, or whether a museum has changed its ticket structure — the contact form below is the fastest channel. Include the URL of the review and the specific question; the editor who originally wrote that review will usually answer directly.

For Personalised Itinerary requests, write directly to [email protected] with your dates, home airport, accommodation preferences, and any sites you particularly want to include or avoid. We reply with a written brief outlining the proposed itinerary, the working assumptions, and the cost — at which point you decide whether to proceed.

For media inquiries, partnership proposals or speaking requests, please use the same email address. We do not accept paid placements in reviews and do not enter into affiliate arrangements with tour operators — this is the only category of inquiry where we may not engage further.

Response Times by Inquiry Type

To set realistic expectations: a question about a specific ticket price or opening hour is usually answered the same day, because the relevant editor will already have the information at hand. A question about planning a multi-day itinerary requires more time — typically two business days for an initial response, then several more days to prepare the actual itinerary draft. A request for a correction to an existing review is treated as priority and answered within one business day regardless of plan tier, because keeping the archive accurate is more important than commercial considerations.

Press and media inquiries are routed through the editor-in-chief and may take longer if they require coordination across team members. Partnership proposals from tour operators receive a standard polite reply explaining our independence policy — we do not enter into commercial relationships of that kind. Group subscriptions for schools, museums or agencies are handled by the editor-in-chief directly and a written quote follows within five business days.

Languages We Reply In

The editorial desk replies in English by default, which is the working language of the publication. Members of the team are also fluent in Arabic and can reply in Arabic if you write to us in Arabic. For other languages, we recommend writing in English where possible — automated translation works reasonably well for short factual exchanges but introduces ambiguity for itinerary planning, where precise wording matters.
